We're always looking for seasonal (camp) and year-round (council) employees to join our team.
Seasonal Camp Staff
Every summer we hire around 30 camp staff who help deliver life changing programs for Scouts and adults. A wide variety of summer camp positions are available, some with age requirements. Some director positions also require week-long BSA National Camping School certifications, which the council will send you to.
For seasonal employment we accept applications for paid positions from ages 15 and up. Some positions have BSA age requirements of 18+ or 21+.
We also offer Counselor-In-Training (CIT) unpaid internship positions for applicants who are at least 14 years of age by the time they arrive. CIT's are camp staff, live in staff housing, and have all the staff benefits.

We hire full-time staff to help support and deliver Scouting in Northeast Mississippi. Our full-time employees have full health (medical, dental, vision), disability and retirement benefits.
Office Support Staff
We hire office support staff to manage membership and event registrations, operate the Scout Shop (store), process awards, support Scouting questions and finance / accounting, Contact the council office at (662) 842-2871 to inquire.
District Executive Staff
If you have skills in marketing, management, budgeting, planning, sales and fundraising and are comfortable with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences, you should consider taking the opportunity to become a professional Scouter. A self-motivated individual with solid time-management skills and strong organizational skills will be successful in this role.
Districts in the council are supported by District Executives (or Senior District Executives) who work with the local Scouting units (packs, troops, crews, ships, posts), district volunteers and are a liasion to the community. They are the Scouting professional for the communities in their district.
With 250 Boy Scouts of America councils covering every city, county, state and US territory, Scouting has opportunities for growth.
If you are in college, some of the majors and classes that could be of benefit are liberal arts, education, marketing, communications, business administration, social sciences and nonprofit management.
