Camp Director’s Message to All

Thank you for supporting Camp Yocona Winter Camp 2022.

Our priority is to make this camp a fun experience during the Thanksgiving Holiday break, as well as, for Scouts to earn merit badges. 

Our main goal for Winter Camp this year is FUN! We are offering a selection of 9 merit badges for the
Scouts to choose from. Each Scout will earn 3 merit badges during Winter Camp.

A great time will be had by all and we cannot wait to see you all at Camp!

Open Program Opportunities

1. Polar Bear Splash – This is a Winter Camp tradition. Each Scout will get the opportunity to take a
dive into the lake at Camp Yocona. Weather permitting. (This will be only be offered one day.
The day will be determined during camp.)

2. Gaga Ball - Gaga is a fast paced, high energy sport played in an octagonal pit. The more players
the better! The game is played with a soft foam ball, and combines the skills of dodging, striking,
running, and jumping, while trying to hit opponents with a ball below the knees. Players need to
keep moving to avoid getting hit by the ball. Fun and easy.

3. Paintball – Scouts will be get the opportunity to shoot paintball guns at a target.
