UMC & NTC Option 3
Option 3 keeps the unit(s) (Pack, Troop, Crew) at the existing United Methodist Church facility and continues to provide general liability coverage. The church releases all unit assets and no longer has approval of adult leadership. The unit and the church sign a Facilities Use Agreement.
To choose Option 3, a "Group of Citizens charter group" is formed that will charter / sponsor the Scouting unit(s). Branding changes (any logos of the church, church name on unit flags, etc.) are removed and replaced with the new chartered organziation. The Group of Citizens may also sign an Affiliation Agreement with the UMC.
Under the Resources listed at the bottom of this page, refer to the additional document "GCUMM Endorsed Group of Citizens" for more information.
