UMC & NTC Option 1

Option 1 keeps the charter with the existing United Methodist Church.  It is allowed by both the General Commission of United Methodist Men (GCUMM) and the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). The BSA carries general liability coverage which specifically covers the church, church leadership and leaders involved with the Scouting programs.

To choose Option 1, the unit will complete their annual rechartering process which requires the church's approval.

Additional Facilities Use Agreement form and Certificate of Insurance can be provided upon request, and this coverage is also expressly part of the General Liability Coverage already provided Chartered Organizations.
